The central element of the ball / nut steering system. Transfer steering torque to both front wheels. One side pitman arm is connected with the other side idler arm. Both ends are connected to one pole. Turning on the steering wheel, the driver applies a rotational torque to the worm gear in the gearbox. The steering torque is multiplied by the worm gear in the steering gear box to drive the pitman arm attached to the worm gear device.
The steering torque is transformed into linear motion. Pitman arm turning right and left, pushes cross rod to each direction. Along with cross rod the connecting side rod pushes wheel to the same direction..
